December 20, 2008 HAPPY HOLIDAYS! WHERE HAS THE YEAR GONE? So 2008 is coming to an end. It's been such a busy year for us at FireWire Music Company. The Satellite Nation have been going great guns in North America. We've played festivals in Canada and showcases in New York and Los Angeles. We've also been accepted onto 2 compilations with Kings of Leon and The Killers and been played on over 260 radio stations in the US. We've just returned to Australia to release our debut EP in Australia and have been playing great shows to our Australian fans. As the festive season approaches, I can't believe how quickly this year has gone by, and yet so much has happened over the past 12 months. FireWire Music Company celebrates our first year anniversary in sunny LA! We've gone from strength to strength and managed to get everything on our TO DO LIST, DONE! Thank you to everyone that has supported us, our projects and our artists, Now check out our news! The Satellite Nation's new record is finished! We're incredibly excited about all the boys have accomplished this year. They've relocated to Vancouver, where they've been playing sell out shows! Thank you Vancouver for welcoming The Satellite Nation with open arms. They've written over 2 full albums worth of music and chosen 5 of the best to put on their self-titled EP. The record will be released on JANUARY 26TH, 2008 at the hottest club in Vancouver, The Media Club: The record will be available on itunes around the same time. THE SATELLITE NATION were in LA recording the new record and it sounds amazing! They're just putting the finishing touching on it right now and we're planning on a release early 2008. We also went out to Joshua Tree to shoot the video for the new single, LAST TIME. It was hot, humid but incredibly beautiful. With the sweeping landscapes and perfect weather, we shot from sunrise to sunset and came up with an fantastic film clip. Thanks to our awesome team especially our award winning team, Director Justin Barnes and our Director of Photography Ben Booker, with Koo Abuali, Producing. Stay tuned for more TSN news and be sure to check out their website too!   September 15th 2007 THE SATELLITE NATION are in LA! They finally made it after making the 27 hour torturous drive from Vancouver! Now that's commitment. For those of you that don't know, they're originally from the sun drenched beaches of the Central Coast, just out of Sydney, Australia so LA is a long way from home. They've been in Vancouver for a few months, and have been received with open arms, playing a bunch of awesome gigs to capacity crowds and generating a great deal of interest. I'm really proud of these guys, they've traveled half way across the world in pursuit of their musical dream and the journey has only just begun. They're in LA to record their new project which will be released in the next couple of months, shoot a video out in Joshua Tree with Electra Avellan from GRINDHOUSE fame AND play a show at The Roxy on Saturday 22nd September at 8pm. Lots of great stuff happening. In other news, I was asked to guest DJ and will be making my LA radio debut on Monday 17th of September on a great internet show called hunnypot: http://www.hunnypotunlimited.com. The radio show starts 7pm LA time, which is midday Aussie time. Just go to the link and then click on the radio player where you can hear the whole show. I'll be playing a set of purely Aussie music. After travelling across the world, The Satellite Nation have set up camp in the beautiful city of Vancouver. Our plans are in full motion; rehearsals, touring and recording their highly anticipated new project in LA! Check back soon for exciting news!
